I’ve photographed many projects for Rachel Nowikas of RS Design Management , and it’s always fun to see how she’s made her client’s vision a reality. Some are renovations in older homes, often in the Morristown area of New Jersey. The transformation from a dark, outdated kitchen to a bright, open and welcoming space is always impressive. This kitchen is just one example. I love the contrast of white and dark blue cabinetry, highlighted with pops of brushed gold from the hardware. The decision to use shelving rather than additional cabinets above the counter seating area keeps the space open and airy. The modern feel of this kitchen makes it one of my personal favorites.
Light wood shelving makes this space more open and bright, rather than installing additional cabinetry in this spot.

The four main colors/tones work so well together in this kitchen.
